Issue a warning to a member. Creates a case and DMs them if possible.
Commands
Every command Vinyl understands, grouped the same way as its in-Discord .help menu. Default prefix is ., and your server may have changed it with .prefix.
Moderation
Warnings, kicks, bans, timeouts, and case tracking.
kick <user> [reason]
Kick a member from the server.
ban <user> [reason]
Ban a user, even if they have already left the server.
softban <user> [reason]
Ban then immediately unban, clearing the user's recent messages without a permanent ban.
timeout <user> <duration> [reason]
Timeout a member. Duration examples: 10m, 1h, 2d. Alias: mute.
unban <user_id> [reason]
Remove a ban by user ID.
nick <user> [new_nickname]
Change or reset (type reset) a member's nickname. Alias: nickname.
purge <amount>
Bulk delete up to 100 messages from the current channel. Alias: clear.
slowmode <seconds>
Set the channel's slowmode delay. Use 0 to disable.
lock [#channel]
Lock a channel so @everyone cannot send messages. Defaults to the current channel.
unlock [#channel]
Undo a previous lock.
cases <user>
View a member's moderation history. Aliases: history, modlogs.
case <case_id>
View one specific case by its number.
Actions taken through Discord's own moderation tools instead of Vinyl's commands (banning someone from the member list, for example) are picked up from the audit log and logged as a case automatically, as long as Vinyl has the View Audit Log permission.

With no user: starts your own verification (DMs you a code). With a user and Manage Roles permission: verifies them manually.

modlog [#channel]
Set the channel moderation and auto-moderation actions get logged to. Vinyl creates a dedicated webhook there automatically, so logs post under their own name instead of showing up as just another bot message. Channel and role creation or deletion are logged here too, and punishments dealt through Discord's own tools or another bot are picked up from the audit log and logged the same way.
modlog messages <on|off>
Toggle logging message edits and deletions. Off by default since it can get noisy on an active server.
testwelcome / testgoodbye
Preview the current welcome or goodbye message without a real join or leave.
Custom Embeds
embed create <name>
Open a point and click editor to build or edit a saved embed. Alias: edit.

Add a field to a saved embed.

Remove a field by its number.

Tickets
ticket setup <category> <@support_role> [#channel]
Post the ticket panel. A category and support role are required; which channel to post the panel in is optional and defaults to the current one. Clicking the panel button opens a short form asking for a reason before the ticket channel is created.

Use a saved custom embed for the ticket panel instead of Vinyl's default. Leave the name blank to clear it.
ticket button <open|close> <text> [emoji]
Customize the open or close button's label and emoji.
ticket logchannel [#channel]
Set where ticket transcripts are sent when a ticket closes. Falls back to the mod log channel if unset.
ticket close
Close the current ticket channel. An HTML transcript is saved and sent to the log channel and the person who opened it before the channel is deleted.
